The RV Dealers Association honored Forest River CEO and founder Pete Liegl on Thursday morning with the RVDA Titan Award.
The Titan Award, bestowed by RVDA’s Board of Directors, recognizes Liegl’s pioneering efforts to make RV travel a preferred leisure activity for millions of Americans, the association stated.
“Pete Liegl’s innovative ideas and leadership have fueled the RV industry’s growth,” RVDA President Phil Ingrassia said. “He has helped make the dream of RV travel accessible and affordable for all types of outdoor enthusiasts.”
Liegl founded Forest River in 1996. Under his leadership, Forest River grew into the industry’s largest privately owned manufacturer. Liegl sold the company in 2005 to Warren Buffett.
Liegl was elected to the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2009.
