Keryn Lynn, vice president of Holly Acres RV & Marine in Woodbridge, Virginia, has been chosen as the 2020-2021 recipient of the Duane Spader Leadership Development Scholarship. The scholarship, valued at nearly $15,000, allows the recipient to attend an 18-month Spader Leadership Development Program tuition-free. Interest was particularly high this year as the Mike Molino RV Learning Center received a record number of applications. The program is just one element of the strategic alliance between Spader and the RV Learning Center.
The scholarship is named after its founder and former RVDA chairman, Duane Spader. The joint arrangement promotes leadership development programs for RVDA members and provides one annual scholarship. This scholarship is part of a broader program of RVDA educational opportunities directed at Young RV Executives.
Lynn expressed her leadership aspirations by saying, “I want to develop my leadership skills to motivate dealership staff towards growth and learning, promote effective communication between dealership stakeholders, and to insure sustainability of the dealership through increased profitability, community involvement, and provision for recreation in a population seeking [a] healthy work/life balance.”
