CUMMINS, INC.
Unsecured Wire Leads May Chafe and Short
A short increases the electrical shock or fire risks.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 205
Cummins is recalling certain 2022-2024 Power Generation C275D2RE trailer-mounted generators. The unsecured wire leads may chafe against the starter motor housing or terminal, causing a short circuit.
Distributors or warranty repair locations will inspect and repair the generator set wiring harness and secure the wiring leads, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 7, 2025. Owners may contact Cummins customer service at 800-286-6467. Cummins’ number for this recall is C5807.
DAIMLER VANS USA, LLC
Instrument Cluster Display Too Bright/Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 101
A display that is too bright can make it difficult for the driver to see critical safety information, increasing the crash risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 697
Daimler Vans is recalling certain 2019-2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles. The instrument cluster illumination may not be adjustable and appear too bright in certain lighting conditions. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS No. 101, “Controls and Displays.”
Dealers will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 7, 2025. Owners may contact Daimler customer service at 877-762-8267. Daimler’s number for this recall is VS3BELKOM.
FOREST RIVER, INC.
Propane Tanks May Detach
A detached tank can become a road hazard, increasing the crash risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 116
Forest River is recalling certain 2025 r-pod RPT197 and RPT205 travel trailers. The propane tank tray may be missing the required number of fasteners, enabling the tanks to detach.
Owners are advised to remove the tanks until the repair is performed. Dealers will install the correct number of fasteners, free of charge.
