Exertis Mobile Living Ready To Branch Out

Exertis, a global leader in technology distribution and logistical support services, recently announced the launch of a specialty unit that will support the needs of a growing and shifting RV industry.

Exertis Mobile Living is the exclusive North American distributor of Furrion. Although Exertis is traditionally a trade-only distributor that focuses on consumer electronics, a partnership with Furrion last December sparked the company’s decision to enter the RV market.

“We built a heck of a business with Furrion’s choice and confidence,” Exertis President and CEO Kevin Kelly said. “We’re here to serve Furrion and develop the right level of services that enable them to grow in the market as fast as possible.”

Exertis Mobile Living, which had been branded as Stampede when December’s deal was announced, is looking to branch out beyond the Furrion relationship.

Furrion has been a window into the RV marketplace, Kelly said.

“Due to market share in key categories, we have the opportunity to serve major and minor RV manufacturers, with relationships developing for all of them,” he said. “We are very fortunate for the Furrion partnership.”

Exertis Mobile Living hopes to branch into other key categories and support more manufacturers as the business unit grows. As a specialist distributor with units in specific markets, Kelly said Exertis is open to doing business with unique programs and services.

The company’s worldwide size and scale allows Exertis to make substantial investments, he said.

“We are here for the RV community, here for the market and here for component manufactures with cost efficient and high-quality services,” Kelly said.

The RV industry’s rapid growth made it critical for Furrion products to be available and awaiting speedy delivery inside an Exertis warehouse, Kelly said. The company’s Elkhart, Indiana-based warehouse takes up 250,000 square feet, equipped with numerous delivery trucks and operational capabilities that deliver product every day.

The mission, Kelly said, is to help add significant value to Furrion to gain market share.

“The good news is Exertis is well-stocked and positioned to take advantage of the growth,” he said. “We provide the services [Furrion] needs for their products and getting them into the marketplace.”

According to Kelly, the global RV market, which already was projected to grow 7 percent annually from 2019 to 2025, is growing even faster. The surge is driven in no small part by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is persuading more North Americans to explore an entirely new way of travel.

“They want the freedom of a life on the road, but not at the expense of staying connected to the larger world,” Kelly stated in a press release.
