Broadcast-ready hot spots, free marketing tools and centralized leads are available and growing through Go RVing’s updated industry portal.
Following the portal’s launch announcement Oct. 27, Go RVing’s Sarah Neely said the goal always has been to drive consumers to RV dealerships. Features such as an increased image library, Google Analytics dashboard and more can help drive consumers, she said.
“It’s going to help dealers gauge what people are looking for in the market,” Neely said. “People can see traffic site behavior in real-time.”
The dashboard shows users top search terms, most-viewed pages and popular RVs in the market, filtered by preferred date range.
Members also can utilize the portal’s larger image library, which provides free marketing material around dealership campaigns, advertisements and emails. Neely said 65 new images connected to the Go on a Real Vacation campaign have been added to the site, and the library continues to grow. Marketing photo shoots are scheduled throughout the next year, she said.
“We haven’t gotten the opportunity to update that in a few years,” Neely said. “There’s also a new preview function that didn’t exist before. You can see the image before you download it and sort by any type – fifth wheel, tear drop or whatever you’re looking for.”
Other marketing tools can be purchased within the portal. Taggable TV spots give dealerships 30-second broadcast-ready video segments and can be edited with a custom tagline. Additional B-roll footage is accessible to users.
“We want materials that are more useful for them and easier to access than they used to be,” Neely said.
Dealers are using the leads system frequently, Neely said, a free feature that now can be specified to local areas based on ZIP code.
“It’s really great because people have already looked around, they know they’re interested and are submitting info because they want someone to contact them,” Neely said. “They’re not submitting for a prize or to gain access, they’re opting in because they want more information.”
Users can find all Go RVing’s research reports through the portal, including a vacation cost survey that compares various trips with RV vacations.
RVIA members can access the industry portal. RVDA members who are in a tie-in program with Go RVing can access the portal. The tie-in program costs $250.
Go RVing’s industry portal future plans include an automated system that gives users monthly email leads in specific areas Neely said the automated system likely will roll out in the next few months.
“Our goal is to drive consumers to RV dealerships by providing tools to reach people in local markets,” Neely said.
Neely will lead a tour of Go RVing’s redesigned website and industry portal during an on-demand training session at the 2020 RV Dealers Virtual Convention and Expo, available starting next week through Jan. 21, 2021.
