Care Camps Fundraising Starts Thursday

Laughter, great music and helping kids with cancer are the focuses of the annual Care Camps online gala event to be held Nov. 19.

Care Camps is a camping and RV industry charity that focuses on using the outdoors to help heal children with cancer. The organization launched its national online silent auction recently, which can be accessed here.

The silent auction will culminate with the Care Camps gala virtual event, a 30-minute video that will be broadcast live at 1 p.m. EST Thursday here and on the Care Camps Facebook page as a live event.

“The 2020 Care Camps gala event will include lots of laughter by entertainer and campground owner Clint Bell, performances by nationally renowned musicians Stephanie Quayle and Howard Livingston, and you can see and hear some updates from Care Camps kids about the amazing work that is continuing on at Care Camps everywhere amidst COVID,” Care Camps stated. “As always, you will have the chance to make a tax-deductible donation to a great cause and help a child with cancer find hope and healing in the outdoors.”

This year’s auction features holiday gifts and experiences to forget the COVID blues, Care Camps stated, including a Nascar “Driver for a Day” experience. New items are added daily and shipping is included. The week-long auction closes at 1:30 p.m. EST at the gala event’s conclusion.

The Care Camps 2020 Auction and Online Gala Event is sponsored by Kampgrounds of America with Gold Sponsors such as Independence Bank, AGS, Tengo Internet, Utility Supply Group, Wilcor Outdoors, TentMasters and The Jump Pad.
