Aqua-Hot Heating Systems, an Airxcel brand, announced a hydronic heater it developed specifically for diesel Type B motor homes.
The company’s first Type B style heating solution operates at high altitudes without a specialized kit or carbon buildup maintenance. The 125D delivers heat and continuous hot water in a compact package, Airxcel stated.
Running on diesel fuel, the heater produces 22,000 Btu/hour. Warmth is distributed using three heat exchangers that do not lower the interior humidity, a solution for air heaters that typically produce uncomfortable dry air, the company stated. The heater weighs 51 pounds empty.
“Water and fuel ports are conveniently located on the unit’s side for simple, hassle-free connecting,” Airxcel stated.
The 125D comes with Aqua-Hot’s new LCD screen and controller, which allows consumers to set independent heating zones. A “night mode” will run the fans at slower and quieter speeds.
The heater is RV-C compatible, the company stated, so it can be monitored and controlled via a touchscreen display or smart device.
“Since 1986, Aqua-Hot has been the leading manufacturer of innovative hydronic heating systems for Class A motor homes,” Airxcel stated. “With the 125D, it brings that same level of comfort to the Class B community.”
