Boston RV & Camping Expo show participants received an email Friday cancelling the event, which annually is conducted in January but had been rescheduled to April this year.
The Paragon Group, which owns the Boston RV & Camping Expo, and the New England RV Dealers Association (NERVDA) sent the email. It said the Boston Convention & Expo Center (BCEC) pulled all April, May and June leases this year.
The Paragon Group and NERVDA said the cancellation email BCBE sent the organizations did not give a reason. In the email, the organizations said local news reports Friday suggested the convention center will become a COVID-19 field hospital.
All deposits made for the 2021 event will be refunded.
The 2022 show is scheduled for Jan. 14-17 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
