The Shyft Group, a specialty vehicle manufacturer, announced Jan. 8 the company’s $125,000 donation to the Eaton Community Health Collaborative.
The donation completes a $1 million support declaration that spans one decade, the company stated. The donation is centered in Charlotte, Michigan, where Shyft got its start and continues operations.
Pledge beneficiaries include Sparrow Eaton Hospital’s AL!VE wellness center, under previous ownership, and now the Eaton Community Health Collaborative.
“This past year has been difficult for many, and now more than ever it is important that we support initiatives that promote community health and wellbeing,” President and CEO Daryl Adams stated. “Our partnership with first Hayes Green Beach in support of AL!VE, and now with the Eaton Community Health Collaborative, will be impactful for many. We take great honor in fulfilling a pledge that has held great meaning for our employees, partners, and neighbors in mid-Michigan.”
The Shyft Group Foundation represents the charitable arm of The Shyft Group and was initially created to assist the area surrounding the company’s Charlotte campus, with focus on health, wellness and educational efforts.
