The 2021 NTP-STAG Expo kicked off Jan. 18 at the Orlando Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida, with limited capacity because of Coronavirus protocols. The in-person event will conclude Jan. 19.
The company’s director of category management in the RV sector, Jon White, welcomed attendees during a kick-off breakfast sponsored by DISH Outdoors on Monday, where he discussed new growth opportunities.
White highlighted NTP-STAG’s “jump” into marine and utility trailer sectors, along with aftermarket parts and accessories growth. He noted continuing warranty fulfillment partnerships with Grand Design, Jayco, Heartland RV, Winnebago Towables and Coleman-Mach.
“We are already bringing on brands and lines, and we are fully committed to being successful in this space. We are jumping in with both feet,” White said in regard to the company’s move into the marine sector.
The distributor’s portfolio, including 17 new lines, is available to RV dealers.
Utility trailers received attention as well, with White noting NTP-STAG’s focus on parts and accessories, dubbed LINK.
Attendees participated in temperature checks, received wristbands and wore mandatory masks inside the convention center, which White noted was the first convention hosted by the Orlando Marriott World Center since the pandemic took hold.
“Thank you for being here and being safe, and we look forward to the next couple days,” White said.
The rest of Monday’s events included RV University educational sessions and PRO business development seminars presented by Valterra, where attendees could learn about supplier training, leadership development, business acumen and retail trends.
The show floor opened at 4 p.m. with 25 percent capacity, with vendors exhibiting new technology and products, followed by a 7 p.m. reception. Despite the restricted capacity, 67 exhibitors set up booths to interact with attendees.
