Lippert showcased its furniture line exclusively available to dealers at the NTP-STAG Expo 2021 show in Orlando, Florida.
The rollout includes two seating lines, each available in four colors. The lines include theater seating, a destination tri-fold sleeper sofa, a jack-knife sofa, a push back swivel chair, a glider swivel chair and a Euro chair.
Julie Bethel-Welker, national sales manager, wholesale distribution, said the products were a year-long project come to fruition.
“The dealer reaction has been really positive,” she said.
The seating includes a Heritage standard line and an upgraded Seismic line. Bethel-Welker said the products included upgraded fabric, new styling and colors unavailable in OEM products.
The refreshed line is Lippert’s first in three years.
“We do not want a me-too program for our dealer partners,” Lippert Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Jarod Lippert said. “We try to give our dealer partners something unique, something we can give them a story around. These are unique colors, for example, you will not find on an OEM unit.”
The color options are Altoona, Grummond, Millbrae and Noralina. Products are available in PolyHyde vinyl upholstery and fabric, which Lippert said was a good option for consumers with pets.
The recliners include accent-colored trimming which “gives the color a pop,” Bethel-Welker said. The recliners contain added padding to the seat, a choice Bethel-Welker said addressed a consumer pain point around sinking in too far to comfortably stand up from the chair. In addition, the recliner arms were lowered to help address the concern.
The powered Seismic theater seating option stands out. The unit contains a power port, which Bethel-Welker said was the first in aftermarket, which brings connectivity to the theater seating unit. In the arm rests, consumers can choose from accessories such as a 3-speed fan, a phone and tablet charger/holder, a wine caddy and a desk. Because the seating unit is charged, the powered items are not required to be plugged in to function.
The connectivity also powers heat/light/massage/power recline options, and light-up cup holders which can change to four colors. Lights under the theater seat also are available. In addition, models with a center console can add USB charging ports.
“We wanted a seating solution, and a sleeping solution, that everyone would love,” Lippert said.
The lines include a five-year hydrolysis warranty, which Bethel-Welker said was an industry first, providing protection against deterioration through moisture. The products also ship broken down in boxes that provides the ability to fit the seating through RV doors.
“This is specially engineered for the aftermarket program,” Lippert said. “We wanted to give retail customers a good option to upgrade to.”
