Southwire Company, LLC, original equipment and aftermarket electrical protection products supplier, announced its tools are available at Keystone Automotive/NTP-STAG.
“It fills a void,” said Mike Conway, national account manager at Southwire. “RV dealers did not have quality options prior to Southwire Tools partnering with Keystone NTP. Before, dealers had to go out and find those products on their own.”
Southwire’s tools have lifetime warranties or high life expectancies. All are professional grade, Conway said, rather than “use-and-dispose tools that dealers have been forced to get until now.”
The tools, including surge guards, clamp meters and LED rechargeable lithium batteries, were showcased at this year’s virtual NTP-STAG show. Conway, who has worked with the Southwire brand since 2012, said, “I was almost taken aback by such positive feedback.”
Several dealers who attended the virtual show asked to receive store planograms, Conway said, which Southwire typically does on a case-by-case basis. “We consolidated 30 items for an RV dealer to bring in for stock and flow, as well as to offer their service technicians,” he said.
During the 2020 NTP-STAG show, Conway said Southwire showcased its tool lineup and received “great feedback” from visiting dealers and the NTP sales team. Over the next half-year, the companies identified potential solutions for RV dealer technicians and RV retail stores, creating the tool lineup.
