EXCLUSIVE: Strategy Titan Provides Dealer Resources to RVDA Members

RVDA members now can access a data and analytics solution that assists dealers with inventory planning, marketing, sales and management processes.

Through an endorsement of Strategy Titan’s Sales Forecasting Program, CEO Jason Krantz said RVDA’s support will help address a long-standing and significant gap in most dealers’ strategic and planning processes.

Strategy Titan provides towable and motorized product forecasts at the national, regional, state and local Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) levels.

“The RVDA is intimately aware of the challenges their members face,” Krantz said. “We can tell people that we can help them address their challenges, but it means a lot more when someone else with a lot of industry credibility and a clear understanding of their challenges says that.”

RVDA stated it endorses products and services to help dealers manage their businesses better with reliable resources. The association’s Board of Directors approved the endorsement with the RV Assistance Corp. (RVAC)’s recommendation, RVDA added.

“Strategy Titan’s Sales Forecasting Program brings additional strategic analytics and market intelligence capabilities to RV dealers,” RVDA President Phil Ingrassia said. “This sales forecasting tool complements RVDA’s long-term endorsement of the Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI) RV Industry Data program.”

Strategy Titan requires a subscription to the SSI data program. Prices vary depending on market size. The company offers RVDA members a 10 percent discount and multiple-market discounts are available, the association stated.

“Prices for our forecasting services are roughly equal to the profit of one mid-tier travel trailer,” Krantz said. “The return-on-investment (ROI) is likely to be through the roof for most dealers.”

A key topic often mentioned in conversations with dealers, Krantz said, is inventory management, understanding how local market trends evolve and what future demand will look like.

As an example, Krantz said, if a dealer is betting on Type A recovery but travel trailers are experiencing significant growth in their market, that dealer’s inventory may be “out of position” because it does not reflect consumer demand trends.

“This is especially important now, as units are likely to continue to be tough to get,” he said. “Getting orders right heading into the season can be the difference between market share gains and losses.”

In addition, Strategy Titan’s forecasts can provide independent third-party confirmation of internal forecasts, establish decision-making confidence and aid in dealership expansion site selection, the company stated.

“Having the right product at the right price at the right time can directly translate to top and bottom-line improvements,” Krantz said. “With many local markets seeing their consumer demand dynamics changing very quickly, it is of paramount importance to clearly understand the shifting demands.

“We can help dealers do this very quickly, efficiently and economically,” he added. “We have immense capabilities and strongly believe that our solution can help dealers run better, more profitable businesses. The challenge is no one knows who we are.”

A complimentary 2021 RV retail forecast package will be available to the RV community, accessible here.

“I genuinely believe it has the ability to revolutionize the industry, but it is going to take time,” Krantz said of the forecast product. “Change is very, very hard, even when it is a compelling and positive change. RVDA endorsement helps shorten the timeline for that change.”
