RV Retailer said Motor Home Specialist (MHS) was ranked the No. 1 new motorhome seller by a single U.S. dealership in 2020, according to Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).
This is the eighth consecutive year that the Alvarado, Texas-based business earned the honor.
MHS retails new and used motorhomes from its flagship 80-acre dealership. It was the first location purchased by RV Retailer in 2018. RV Retailer since has grown to 54 stores spanning 15 states.
“We have built a great partnership with [President] Donny O’Banion since acquiring MHS from the O’Banion family in 2018,” RV Retailer CEO and President Jon Ferrando said. “I am proud of Donny O’Banion and the entire MHS team of dedicated associates in Texas for continuing its run as the No. 1 motorhome dealer in the U.S. for eight consecutive years. We have continued to invest in the high-quality premium motorhome mix at MHS across a wide range of brands offered by MHS from its best-in-class facility.”
RV Retailer considers motorhomes an important segment, Ferrando said, and has grown its motorhome business significantly. Last year, he noted SSI found the company’s new motorhome unit sales growth rate seven times higher than the industry growth rate.
