Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is bringing safety and convenience-focused upgrades to its Magnitude and Omni Super C motorhomes for the 2022 model year.
The manufacturer’s brand lineup will see a new F600 Ford 4×4 chassis within its new BT36 floorplan. The layout’s 22,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating includes ample storage space and towing capability with a 12,000-pound hitch.
Magnitude and Omni’s XG32, SV34 and RB34 floorplans are made with the Ford F550 4×4 chassis for off-road travels. The models come with pre-collision assist and warning features as a standard, along with automatic emergency braking and an audible lane departure alarm. TMC stated the models will see a new 8-inch, voice-enabled touchscreen dash radio with 911 assist and navigation.
The two brands will debut new, full-body exterior paint packages – three in total for each model. The graphics use neutrals, dark blues and deep reds depending on the package, TMC stated, which contrast the black and gray base.
“After turning heads on the road, an automatic transfer switch with shore power protection reduces the risk of reverse polarity and open ground power conditions,” the manufacturer stated.
Convenience is a key Super C model component, TMC noted. For work and entertainment, the brands’ models feature the Winegard ConnecT 2.0 Wi-Fi extender, 4G hotspot and TV antenna. In addition, a FordPass Connect Wi-Fi modem allows owners to view the motorhome’s status from a smartphone app, including fuel level, mileage and location.
Additional Magnitude and Omni features include new self-closing drawer slides to minimize stress put on cabinetry while traveling. Neutral décor options and satin-finish cabinetry with nickel-finish hardware are included in the brands’ models, along with leatherette furniture and a cab-over sleeping area with a new telescoping bunk.
