Two new Type B motorhomes will be added to Thor Motor Coach (TMC)’s lineup, in addition to updates made on the manufacturer’s Tellaro and Sequence lines.
Built on the Dodge Ram Promaster chassis, the new Rize and Scope models are the smallest available TMC camper vans at 18 feet long. The company stated its new lines are an ideal introductory motorhome with similar size to an SUV.
Rize and Scope are available in two floorplans – 18M and 18T. The latter appeals to day-trippers and “weekend warriors,” TMC stated, with ample storage, a pull-out bed, kitchen and additional pop-top sleeping area. For those seeking longer trips, the 18M features a wet bath, convertible bench seating and kitchen. The units’ cabinetry varies in color by model, with Rize debuting “Modern White” and Scope with the “Miami Modern” style.
The two new models join Sequence and Tellaro lines in providing a standard 190-watt solar panel and controller. TMC noted Sequence and Tellaro come with optional lithium battery packages for lengthier trips. All lines include the Winegard ConnecT 2.0 that works as a Wi-Fi extender and 4G hotspot in remote areas.
A roof ladder and roof rack system are included with Sequence and Tellaro, as well as a bike rack and powered awning with LED lighting. The coaches debut a 24-inch TV that swivels for entertainment inside and outside. An optional pop-top Sky Bunk sleeping area is available for bigger families, including a 200-watt solar panel.
