SmartPlug Systems, a safety-focused supplier providing product for RVs, boats and specialty vehicles, is expanding its team and facility to boost the company’s footprint by 40%.
Andrew Lankford will join the supplier as a quality assurance engineer, supporting SmartPlug’s quality policy and leveraging his ISO 9001 standards experience within manufacturing.
“Andrew has the unique ability to observe and assess a production line and offer immediate solutions on how to improve its efficiency, quality control and ergonomics, while reducing waste,” SmartPlug CEO Tony Barber said. “We are excited to have him on our team and look forward to him helping us bring SmartPlug to the next level of manufacturing.”
In addition, the company touted a new facility to gain more production and assembly space. The goal is to meet product demand from OEM and aftermarket customers, the company stated.
Seattle-based SmartPlug Systems makes a plug and inlet product that replaces traditional twist-type AC power connections.
