Yellowstone National Park reported visitor entries higher over the Independence Day weekend than they were in 2019.

Comparisons to 2020 were not possible because of pandemic restrictions in place over Independence Day weekend last year.

In total, 46,845 visitors entered Yellowstone from July 2-5 this year, up 7.7% from the 43,499 visitors from July 5-8, 2019.

The final day of the holiday weekend, July 5, saw the biggest increase in visitors. A total of 12,825 entered Yellowstone that day, 33% higher than the 9,630 who visited July 8, 2019.
