Global supplier Southwire donated $7,500 through its community support funds to benefit nonprofit charity Rapha Clinic, which serves uninsured people with medical and dental needs.
The funds will be used to upgrade and replenish health and dental clinic supplies, the clinic stated, along with supporting marketing funds needed for a major fundraiser this year.
“The Rapha Clinic of West Georgia serves the uninsured at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty guidelines in West Georgia,” Rapha Clinic Board Chairman Bill Calhoun said. “A donation of this magnitude goes a long way in making sure that the clinic has the supplies that it needs to serve our neighbors in need.”
Southwire’s $7,500 donation will be split evenly between operations and marketing, Rapha Clinic stated, including supporting an annual fundraiser Sept. 16 in Bremen, Georgia.
