The Selvius Family RV group will soon have one of the biggest indoor RV showrooms in North America. The company recently began construction on a multi-million-dollar upgrade to its flagship TerryTown RV Superstore complex in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
TerryTown’s expansion will culminate in a three-building system.
The building at 7145 Division Avenue South — TerryTown’s showroom, parts store and service center for the past 45 years — will become a 20,000-square-foot RV service center, according to TerryTown President Tom Selvius.
The Motorhomes 2 Go showroom and service building at 7303 Division Avenue South will also be expanded. The service portion will become a prep and delivery center. An RV parts and lifestyle store will occupy the showroom portion, expected open in early 2022. Together, the two locations will offer around 40 service bays, Selvius said.
Across the street from Motorhomes 2 Go, Selvius said, will be the World’s Largest Indoor RV Showroom, featuring 207,000 square feet, or 5 acres, under one roof.
“What we have had in the past is two showrooms,” Selvius said. “We took a portion of the warehouse and had a warehouse/showroom center open for the last couple of years. What we are doing now is a warehouse showroom — in total we will have the same indoor showroom space as the Detroit Novi show.”
The Novi car show is held in Michigan’s Suburban Collection Showplace, which has more than 300,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space.
TerryTown RV’s warehouse showroom will include a sales center, customer lounge and snack area, a children’s play area and a 7,000-square-foot antique and exotic car museum.
The showroom will offer 200 RVs, powered up and displayed. Selvius said construction and renovations are scheduled to be complete in 2022’s first quarter.
