Thor Motor Coach will bring two new Type C motorhomes to market. The manufacturer is calling the Pasadena and Inception models “Mega C” motorhomes.
The motorhomes, Super C models measuring 39 feet long, are built on Freightliner’s S2RV chassis. Each are front-end diesel chassis, including a 360-horsepower Cummins ISB-XT engine with 800-pound-feet of torque.
The models, the company stated, feature the proportions and stature of a Type A diesel motorhome with the cab doors and over-cab sleeping included in Type C motorhomes. The cab-over SkyBunk, a bubble-domed area above the cockpit, features more than 91 cubic feet of space and glass to create a skylight.
The Pasadena and Inception are available now. Thor Motor Coach began shipping the motorhomes to dealers to enable consumers to view the models.
Each will launch with two floorplans, a 38BX bunkhouse model and a 38MX bath and a half model. Both floorplans include extended-stay features such as washer/dryer prep and expanded interior storage and luxury amenities including a standard Tilt-A-View king bed and residential kitchen features.
Up front, the motorhomes include air suspension seats with a 10-inch touchscreen dash radio. The radio is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth. The radio includes SiriusXM prep and a backup monitor display.
Additional safety features include a side-view camera system, heated and remote exterior mirrors and keyless entry.
The motorhomes’ Rapid Camp-Plus multiplex system from Firefly controls the Onan generator, an 1,800-watt inverter and the master bed, among other items.
