Bruce Hopkins, the RV Industry Association (RVIA) former Vice President of Standards, will receive the Meritorious Service Award at the 2020-2021 American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Leadership and Service Awards ceremony May 18.
Hopkins contributed his knowledge and skills to the RV industry and RV Industry Association for over 40 years before retiring at the end of 2020. He leaves behind a legacy of self-regulation that promotes uniform standards across the RV industry, RVIA said.
ANSI will honor recipients of the leadership and service awards with an in-person ceremony, reception, and dinner Wednesday, May 18, from 6-9:30 p.m. ET at the Fairmont Washington in Washington, DC.
According to RVIA, the ANSI awards recognize outstanding leaders and achievers in U.S. and global voluntary standards-setting and conformity assessment activities.

The 2020 awards were rescheduled due to the pandemic; this year’s celebration will also honor 2020-21 award recipients.
Registration for the awards ceremony is open to all. The ANSI member ticket price is $110; the non-member ticket price is $140.
