The Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC) and partner state associations are transitioning to new leadership.
The Michigan Manufactured Housing, Recreation Vehicle and Campground Association (MMH&RVCA), comprised of MARVAC, the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association and the Self-Storage Association of Michigan, said former president and CEO Bill Sheffer transitioned to emeritus status in 2022 before his upcoming retirement.
John Lindley was named president and CEO in October, joining the association after lobbying for the group while working at Public Affairs Associates since 2013.
Membership Director Maris Brennan started work at the association in March. Brennan previously held events, sales and marketing roles with the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Michigan Society of Association Executives.
“Members of all three associations should be very proud of the organizations’ history and the fantastic work done under Bill’s leadership and that of prior boards–but equally eager about what the future brings,” Lindley said. “The addition of Maris to staff is just the first of what will be many examples of the associations’ focus on delivering member value. I am extraordinarily excited as we embark on new pathways.”
