The RV/MH Hall of Fame is requesting donations to finance the building of a 36,000-square-foot, multi-purpose convention center on the RV/MH Hall of Fame campus in Elkhart, Indiana.
The new convention center is being called the “Last Piece of the Puzzle” by the RV/MH Hall of Fame because the building will complete the campus.
As envisioned, the center will serve the Elkhart community and local industries and will seat over 2,000 guests for events.
The center’s maximum capacity will be 4,000 for conventions such as the Hall of Fame Supplier and the RV and Manufactured Housing shows.
Plans for the center include a large catering area, convention space with breakout rooms, a large ballroom, restrooms, storage areas, a tech room and state-of-the-art acoustics and sound equipment.
According to the RV/MH Hall of Fame, “This new facility will help to assure that the Hall of Fame remains thriving for years to come as the crowned jewel of the RV and MH industries. With just a few major conventions held in the facility, the RV/MH Heritage Foundation’s annual operating expenses will be well covered, allowing us to flourish in accomplishing our mission.”
The total cost of the new center is estimated to be $3 million. The target date for completion is September 2022.
For those wishing to donate, several levels are available:
- Founder: $1 million
- Benefactor: $250,000
- Diamond: $100,000
- Gold: $50,000
- Silver: $10,000
- Bronze: $5,000
- Friend of the hall: $1,000
After the convention center is built, Ingram Hall on the Hall of Fame Campus will remain available for smaller functions.
