Gen-Y Hitch is introducing a new drop hitch, the Phantom.
The drop hitch is unlike anything the company has offered, Gen-Y Hitch said, because it can be flipped and stored under the truck.
The hitch can be used with three-quarter-ton and larger GMC trucks with a multi-pro tailgate. Compatibility with half-ton GMC trucks will be available soon, the company said.
Customers can go through a car wash without removing the hitch and fit into tighter parking spaces with the Phantom.
When using the hitch and ball mount in the stored position, 8 1/4 inches of space is saved, Gen-Y said.
Hitch specifications are:
- Shank Size: 2 inches
- Drops Sizes: 6-inch and 9-inch
- Towing Capacity: 12,000 pounds
- Tongue Weight Rating: 1,200 pounds
The hitch is available either alone or with a Versa-Ball using these product numbers:
- GH-15001 : 6-inch drop/hitch only
- GH-15002 : 9-inch drop hitch only
- GH-15011 : 6-inch drop hitch & Versa-Ball
- GH-15012 : 9-inch drop/hitch & Versa-Ball
