Former Texas Recreational Vehicle Association (TRVA) President David Hoelzer died July 16 in Texas. He served as the RVDA chairman in 2004.

Hoelzer was the son of TRVA’s first president, Ron Hoelzer of Lloyd’s Trailer Sales. Ron Hoelzer was instrumental in founding TRVA in 1974.

David Hoelzer grew up in the RV business, working alongside his father, and developed a deep and abiding love for the industry, RVDA said. He also served in the United States Marine Corps.

David Hoelzer served as TRVA president in 1992. He served the association in many other capacities before being elected president, RVDA said. He went on to be elected to the RVDA Board of Directors.
