General RV Center in Wixom, Michigan, was ranked the 12th fastest-growing business in Michigan by Crain’s Detroit.
The annual list ranks Michigan companies by their increase in revenue measured in both dollars and percentages from 2018 to 2021. To qualify for consideration, companies must certify they have been profitable.
General RV has been previously recognized by Crain’s Detroit in the publication’s Private 200 and Michigan’s Largest Family-Owned Companies lists. Last year, General RV ranked 13th on the Fast 50 list.
The new Fast 50 award announcement comes as the RV dealer is celebrating 60 years of business. General RV said revenue increased more than 31% from 2020 to 2021.
“We have experienced record growth in multiple areas with strong RV sales, several construction and expansion projects, continuous hiring of new talent and more,” said Loren Baidas, president of General RV Center. “Over 100,000 people walked through our doors in 2021, and we delivered more than 22,000 RVs to customers.”
General RV recently completed a $10 million RV service center expansion in Tampa, Fla.
In April 2021, the dealership opened a new RV inspection facility near Elkhart, Indiana. General RV also opened its 14th RV dealership last year in Pennsylvania.
“We have a vast selection of pop-up campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, gas and diesel motorhomes, camper vans and more,” Baidas said, “so now is the perfect time for anyone to begin their own RV adventure.”
The company is celebrating its 60th anniversary with special events for customers and employees. General RV owes much of its success to its employees, the company said.
“We have some of the best people in the industry, and they are the heart of General RV,” Baidas said. “Our team members are totally focused on the customer experience – in our dealerships and beyond – and that sets us apart from any other RV dealer.”
