Leisure Travel Vans has unveiled the new Murphy Bed Lounge, soon to be available in the company’s Unity and Wonder product lines. The new floorplans will be available to view at the 53rd annual Hershey America’s Largest RV Show Sept. 14-18 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Building on the success of the company’s flagship Unity Murphy Bed model, the new Murphy Bed Lounge offers a host of new features, refinements, and premium components. The new model adds a slide-out room and ducted air conditioning to the Wonder product line for the first time.
“The idea behind the Murphy Bed Lounge was to design a reimagined, more contemporary version of our iconic Murphy Bed model and to offer it on both the Unity and Wonder product lines,” said Angelo Natuzzi, Leisure Travel Vans lead product designer. “We wanted to give our customers a more enjoyable RV with an updated, contemporary look, greater interior and exterior storage, and a brighter, more open-feeling living area. I believe we accomplished this.”
Leisure Travel Vans is introducing the Murphy Bed Lounge to its Unity and Wonder product lines. Customers can choose gas or diesel with their preferred chassis, Ford or Mercedes.
At the heart of the new model is the completely redesigned, patented Leisure Lounge system featuring upgraded dual reclining chairs, an updated dinette table system, and a panoramic window.
The reclining chairs include longer power footrests to provide comfort in every position. At night, consumers can fold the bed and sleep soundly or stare at the stars on the 65-inch x 74-inch Murphy bed with built-in, adjustable headrests.
Consumers can watch a 40-inch TV and enjoy the high-quality sound from the standard sound bar and subwoofer.
For those that can’t get enough of the outdoors, a new optional 40-inch outdoor TV with sound bar is available.
The new Murphy Bed Lounge features a completely reimagined layout. The result is a multitude of major and minor improvements, all adding up to a more enjoyable RVing experience, the company said.
The updated living area features a relocated entrance door. The two relocated hanging wardrobes now feature adjustable and removable shelving. The redesigned galley offers a new, integrated cubby system and a relocated pull-out pantry. In the slide-out, an innovative folding mechanism built into the Murphy bed reveals a large panoramic window.
The rear lavatory is mirrored across from the current Unity Murphy Bed and features a second, large, hanging wardrobe complete with adjustable and removable shelving. For space separation, an updated, residential-style, ultra-low-profile pocket door is found between the galley and dry bathroom. The flagship corner shower completes the generous, residential-sized dry bathroom.
Modern European design and materials such as Ultraleather, Fenix NTM, Corian, and Schattdecor cabinetry finishes are found throughout. Accent lighting allows consumers to create a multitude of atmospheres.
Leisure Travel Vans featuring the Truma Aventa air conditioner for the first time. The Aventa provides cooling and humidity with a low-profile design. Automatic cooling, air circulation, dehumidification, and night mode are just some of the convenient features of this brand-new air conditioning unit.
The models also include the Truma VarioHeat furnace. The VarioHeat offers automatic heating power. Depending on the set temperature, operating levels will adapt to one of three levels. In night mode, the furnace runs on the lowest, quietest level. Airflow is increased significantly in boost mode.
