Search Begins for Next RVIA Government Affairs VP

a picture of a road that turns into a question mark with words "who is the best candidate?"

With Jay Landers, RVIA’s government affairs vice president, retiring next year, RVIA is searching for his replacement.

The position is a leadership-level government affairs role for RVIA, reporting to RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby.

The new VP would manage public policy development and policy dissemination at the federal and state levels. The VP of the government affairs department is responsible for managing six staff positions and multiple outside consultants. The department’s overall mission is to promote and protect RVIA member interests in state and federal legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate will be a political strategist who is a well-connected, mission-driven senior executive with a proven track record of delivering results by building collaborative, bipartisan relationships and deep connections within federal and state governments, key federal agencies, and Congress, the RVIA said.
