Roadtrek will include the SumoSprings rear suspension upgrade, made by SuperSprings International (SSI), as standard equipment on all Type B vans built on the manufacturer’s Ram ProMaster chassis.

“During the past year, Roadtrek made available SumoSprings as an option on ProMaster models. Since that time, we have experienced very positive feedback regarding the suspension benefits when using SumoSprings,” said Len McDougall, Roadtrek head of sales.

Roadtrek’s Play, Play SRT, Play Slumber, Chase, Zion, Zion Slumber, Pivot, Pivot Slumber and Zion SRT will be fitted with the yellow SumoSprings rear suspension upgrade.

The USA-made SumoSprings suspension upgrade helps level load capacity, is easy to install and reduces vibration, the company said.

“SSI continues to expand on our already dominant reach in the motorized RV segment. When we first partnered with Roadtrek, they asked to test the waters with our SumoSprings as an option,” said Adam Weisner, SSI president. “Early on they found that nearly every customer was opting to upgrade to our maintenance-free suspension enhancement to make their journey better.”

Roadtrek said, consumers have created a demand for a better driving experience without having to sacrifice build quality and weight.

“Our ProMaster upgrade has become an industry standard, and we see that with OEMs and in the aftermarket as well. We are very excited for Roadtrek to build on this partnership and offer SumoSprings as standard equipment,” Weisner said.
