Fluid control component supplier Flow-Rite is celebrating the company’s 40th anniversary this month.
The Byron Center, Michigan-based business was established in 1981 by founder Dan Campau. Formerly known as Flow-Rite Controls, the company was created to provide fluid control products that were “more reliable” than conventional mechanical valves. The company supplies components for the RV, marine and industrial markets.
“We have accomplished so much in 40 years, but that which we are most proud of is the culture Dan Campau established,” Flow-Rite President Todd Hart said. “Because of the values he instilled into the company, we enjoy what we do as we support our community and solve our customers’ challenges.”
In four years, Flow-Rite developed a global distributor network for its battery watering system. The marine industry adopted the company’s boat ballast and plumbing solutions, Flow-Rite stated.
The company stated its employees actively volunteer for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots. For four consecutive years, Flow-Rite has been among the “101 Best and Brightest Companies” to work for in west Michigan.
“While we have all been individually tested by the pandemic, the Flow-Rite family came together to support one another,” Hart said. “Throughout, we have remained strong and cohesive. I am very proud of what we have accomplished this year and all the successes we have realized.”
Flow-Rite stated its U.S. supply base and vertical integration helped achieve a 99% on-time delivery rate in 2020.
