Supplier Enables Ford Super Duty Truck EPB Access

InterMotive Vehicle Controls provides two ways for vehicle builders or upfitters to access the electric park brake (EPB) signal on 2023 Ford Super Duty trucks.

InterMotive’s Aftermarket Interface Module (AIM) and the Upfitter Interface Module (UIM) interface with a truck’s Controller Area Network (CAN bus) that provides data access to the EPB signal. The products do not require the use of Ford’s Upfitter Interface System.

AIM includes eight programmable outputs (power or ground) and features a high idle function. According to InterMotive, the system can enable access to the EPB signal with the CAN bus awake or asleep.

The UIM includes eight programmable outputs (one power and seven ground) for vehicles needing the EPB only when the CAN bus is awake.

Consumers can customize program outputs for the AIM and UIM through the products’ interactive screens, or the products can be ordered pre-programmed.
