The scholarship provides help to cover the cost of an individual subscription to the RV Technical Institute’s RV technician training for new high school graduates, those leaving the military, or former college students who did not complete their education.
Phillips was a former president at Thetford Corp., Norcold and B&B Molders. He was Airxcel’s RV group president at the time of his unexpected death in 2021.
Phillips served on RVIA’s Board of Directors from 2009-2018, spending time as the board secretary and treasurer. He was an advocate for continual learning who saw vocational training as a viable alternative to college. The scholarship in his name recognizes Phillips’ contribution to the RV industry and his legacy within it.
