Workplace Safety Seminar Agenda Released

RVIA’s Workplace Safety Taskforce will host a half-day Workplace Safety Seminar on Nov. 2 at the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart, Indiana.

The seminar will include multiple sessions ranging from presentations from companies setting the bar on workplace safety, speakers with keen insights on why workplace safety is important, and a panel focused on specific actions your company can take to improve workplace safety for your teams.

The event and keynote speaker are sponsored by Forest River, Thor Industries and Winnebago Industries.

The full agenda is now available, with the seminar starting with breakfast at 7:30 a.m.

At 8 a.m. Taskforce Chairman Tim Edwards of Thor Industries will provide a short presentation, including a snapshot of where the industry currently stands.

At 8:15 a.m., keynote speaker Rodney Grieve will present “Identifying Cultural Hazards: 4 Clues Your Organization Is Out of Balance.”

After a break at 9:30 a.m., Kelli Smith and Carmen Wegener of Cummins will present a safety journey with key RV industry takeaways. The session starts at 9:45 a.m.

After another break at 10:45 a.m., industry case studies begin at 11 a.m. Lisa Fry from B&B Molders will discuss the importance of leadership and culture. Josh Overmyer of Thor Motor Coach will discuss the company’s tiered auditing program.

Closing remarks begin at 11:50 a.m., with the event concluding with lunch and networking from noon to 1 p.m.
