RVDA installed Ryan Horsey of Parkview RV Center in Delaware as the 2024 chairman during the association’s annual meeting Wednesday morning.
Horsey took the gavel from Walnut Ridge Family RV Sales’ Nathan Hart.
Other 2024 RVDA officers include Larry Trout III of Topper’s Camping Center as first vice chairman, Bob Been of Blue Compass RV as second vice chairman, Brad Bacon of Pleasureland RV Center as treasurer and Lane Bell of Bell Camper Sales as secretary.
Priority RV Network President Mike Regan, a former RVDA Chairman and the owner of Crestview RV in Texas, received the James B. Summer Award, RVDA’s highest honor.
“There’s no way I deserve to be up there with those pillars of the industry,” Regan said of past James B. Summers Award winners on stage with him. “I love this industry and I love the people here.”
RVDA handed out two Titan Awards to industry legends. Former RVBusiness owner Sherman Goldenberg was the first recipient while the second was the late Dan Pearson, owner of Pleasureland RV Center.
Pearson’s award was presented in an emotional ceremony by Wheeler Advertising’s Ron Wheeler. Pearson’s daughter, Whitney, accepted the award—which RVDA President Phil Ingrassia informed Pearson in July he would receive. Pearson died in September.
An RVDA Special Award was presented to BMO’s Dave Russell, who will retire this year after a 30-year career with Bank of the West and BMO.
Finally, Hart presented four Chairman’s Service Awards for helping him through his year as chairman. Recipients were Chris Andro, Jeff Hirsch, Bob Martin and Horsey.
