More than 80,000 RV consumers are expected to flood the Florida State Fairgrounds between Jan. 17-24. RVs will cover 2 million square feet of the fairgrounds, occupying two buildings and field space. An estimated 1,300-1,400 RVs will dot the fairgrounds.
The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) will kick off the year once again with the 2024 Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa, Florida. FRVTA Executive Director Dave Kelly said the manufacturer show displays products from every large RV manufacturer.
“If it is not on that fairgrounds,” Kelly said, “it probably does not exist in the industry.”
Kelly estimated the show to have over 100 manufacturers’ display spaces. Consumers will browse more than 400 exhibit booths filled with parts and accessories.
The SuperShow attracted a record 84,000 attendees in 2022 and 79,000 in 2023.
Kelly expects about 200 dealers to attend Industry Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 16. Industry members receive free coffee, donuts and lunch as they browse new RVs and parts/accessories.
According to Kelly, consumer RV interest has not faded in Florida but consumer demographics changed. Attendees in 2023 were younger than in prior years. The trend continued through FRVTA’s 2023 regional shows, Kelly said.
Consumers from across the nation attend the show—40% to 45% of attendees do not live in Florida.
