Florida recently hosted three consumer RV shows. The events came on the heels of the Tampa RV SuperShow, which registered the third-largest show attendance in its 39 years.
The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) reported mixed results from the recent three regional shows.
The Fort Myers Show celebrated its 39th anniversary at a new location Jan. 25-28. Under 6,700 consumers attended the event over four days. FRVTA attributed the low attendance to the new location and unpredictable weather. Last year, over 9,000 consumers attended the four-day event.
FRVTA Show Coordinator Tammy Lull said, “The location at JetBlue Park was excellent but it will take some time to get people used to the new location.”
The Jacksonville RV MegaShow commenced for the 15th year at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center in Jacksonville, Florida. More than 7,700 people
attended, Feb. 8-11, up more than 300 compared with 2023.
FRVTA Region Six President Gregg Stachacz said attendees favored the Jacksonville venue.
The West Palm Beach RV Show brought more than 3,200 people to the South Florida Fairgrounds, Feb. 15-18. Weather conditions impacted the completely outdoor show, which drew 4,300 weekend attendees in 2023 under ideal weather conditions.
FRVTA will host two more consumer shows in the coming weeks. The Ocala RV Show will fill Florida Horse Park from Feb. 29 to March 3. The Orlando RV Show will be at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee from March 14-17.
