The Airstream of Southern New England store will greet consumers with an establishment shining with riveted aluminum surfaces and Airstream-themed furnishings and decorations.
Over the next couple of months, the Airstream location will complete its transformation from Campers Inn of Union.
The location is Campers Inn RV’s first exclusive Airstream dealership.
The dealership is located in the center of major New England communities. The store will serve the Boston; Hartford, Connecticut; Providence, Rhode Island; and Springfield, Massachusetts, markets.
Campers Inn RV Chief Operating Officer Ben Hirsch said, “We feel like the Airstream customer is a unique customer…we feel like giving them a…different experience is what the market calls for.”
A dozen new Airstream RVs have already populated the Connecticut lot. The dealer expects to receive dozens more. Currently, 57 RVs occupy the lot as the dealer liquidates its non-Airstream inventory.
Campers Inn will modify the store’s branding, including signage and its website, as the location transforms to an exclusive Airstream model. The dealer’s employees have completed Airstream training to boost brand insight.
Hirsch said the dealer chain wants to achieve Airstream’s Five Rivet status at the location. The manufacturer grants the award to dealers based on service success.
“We are looking forward to doing this with Airstream,” Hirsch said, “and then growing our partnership with them long term and doing this in more locations.”
Airstreams are sold at Campers Inn locations in Naperville, Illinios; Jacksonville, Florida; and Troy, Ohio.
Hirsch said the Naperville location will soon be split into two locations. Airstream of Chicago will be an exclusive Airstream dealership, built next to Campers Inn RV of Naperville.
