Relentless Dealer Services (RDS) President Jamison Carrier finished third in a crowded Republican primary for Indiana’s 6th District U.S. House seat.
With 99% of votes counted, Jefferson Shreve won the seat with 28.4% of the vote, or 20,260 votes. Mike Speedy finished second at 22.1% with Carrier collecting 20.1% of the vote, or 14,386 votes, in his first bid for public office.
Carrier thanked his supporters in a Facebook post after conceding the race.
“A few moments ago, I called Jefferson Shreve to congratulate him and pledged my full support,” Carrier said. “I decided to run for Congress to ensure no other Indiana family has to go through what Kathy and I have. During my conversation with Jefferson, I asked him to continue our mission, to which he agreed. Thank you to all our supporters, our team, and all those who joined our campaign. While we may not have been victorious tonight, Kathy and I will continue our fight.”
In a video post later Wednesday, Carrier hinted he might not be finished with seeking public office.
“Look, we are not done fighting,” he said. “We will continue to fight this fight and we will do it together.”
Shreve, who lost a race for the Indianapolis mayor’s job in 2023, will be heavily favored to win the seat over Democrat Cynthia Wirth in the fall. The previous 6th District representative, Greg Pence, beat Wirth by 35 points in 2022.
Shreve is the founder of Storage Express.
