Thor Motor Coach (TMC) unveiled new design and “high-tech” upgrades to its Type C motorhome line.

The company’s Four Winds, Chateau, Quantum, Delano and Tiburon brands will receive enhanced elements to “improve the customer’s experience while meeting demands for modern designs.” The units are based on the Ford, Chevy and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.

TMC stated a new 2022 Chevy chassis is available on select Four Winds, Chateau and Quantum models. The upgrade is a 6.6-liter V-8 gas engine that outputs 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque.

The company’s Quantum line is adding a new LC26 floorplan. The “family-friendly” layout features a queen bed, jack-knife sofa, optional theater seating and large skylight in the living area. The line’s KW29 floorplan will receive upgrades such as ride enhancement and auto-leveling, frameless windows, two-burner cooktop and a water filtration system.

Most models now come with a new wireless phone charger, TMC stated, including a USB plug at the dinette to support an office-friendly environment for remote workers. Connectivity is provided through supplier Winegard’s TV antenna, Wi-Fi extender and 4G hotspot. An automatic transfer switch with shore power protection is offered to open ground power conditions and reduce reverse polarity risk.

TMC is adding a “modern touch of elegance” to its Four Winds and Chateau brands with an optional interior package featuring “Ivory Coast” cabinetry. The line will include a telescoping bunk ladder for the cab-over sleeping area. Leatherette captain’s chairs and an exterior 32-inch TV with built-in Bluetooth soundbar and radio will be added to the brands’ 31-foot models.

Delano and Tiburon lines will feature new full-body paint packages, including gel-coated sidewalls and an invisible front paint protective mask. TMC stated its Mercedes-Benz safety package includes features such as active braking, attention and lane-keeping assistance, wet-wiper system and more. Stylized aluminum wheels are being added to the 2022 chassis to upgrade the vehicles’ exterior appearance.
