Roadtrek Inc. will celebrate 50 years of Type B motorhome innovations with its consumer base at Roadtrek’s 50th anniversary rally Aug. 13-14 at Guelph Lake Conservation Area in Ontario, Canada.

The event will be the manufacturer’s first large-scale gathering since a decade ago in Branson, Missouri.

Roadtrek Head of Marketing Kylie Johnson said, “The 2013 rally was a landmark event for the Roadtrek brand, and we are eager to recreate that sense of community and excitement as we celebrate the brand’s 50th year.”

Roadtrek owners will explore the Roadtrek factory through guided tours for the first time since 2020. The event will feature focus groups to collect consumer insights and a meet-and-greet with company executives. Supplier exhibitors, including Truma, will conduct seminars for attendees. Roadtrek will provide a barbeque dinner and the local band, Coalescence, will perform rock, jazz and blues tunes.

“We are thrilled to finally put faces to the voices we have connected with over the phone,” Johnsons said. “Meeting our customers in person at the rally is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our community. Roadtrek is not just a business; it is a family.”

The manufacturer’s legacy was born when a man from the Netherlands entered the RV industry. In Kitchener, Ontario, Jac Hanemaayer designed a Type B motorhome for Home & Park Vehicles Ltd. in 1974. After the experience, Hanemaayer bought the company and launched the Roadtrek Type B motorhome in 1980. In 2019, the European company Groupe Rapido acquired the manufacturer.

“This special event is not just a reflection of our past but a celebration of our future,” Johnson said. “We are excited to host our owners for this grand celebration, where we will honor our legacy, share stories and look forward to the innovation that lies ahead.”

The manufacturer anticipates at least 150 Roadtrek owner attendees. To learn more, click here.
