Lightspeed Customers Unaffected by Outages

Although CDK Global continued to make headlines Friday with dealer management services (DMS) outages related to a cyber incident, RV dealers have been unaffected by the incident.

A Lightspeed spokesperson said Lightspeed is a separate company from CDK Global and its DMS, also called Lightspeed, is managed independently from CDK’s automotive DMS.

“RV dealers using Lightspeed DMS have not been impacted by the CDK cyber incident,” the spokesperson said. “The operations and the services we provide to our RV, marine, powersports, trailer, golf and OPE dealerships remain fully operational.”

A report by the Las Vegas Review-Journal said CDK’s cyber incident began with a cyber attack last week against Findlay Automotive Group, an automotive dealer chain with locations in five states. CDK reportedly told customers its DMS and other systems will likely be unavailable for several days.
