After two consecutive months of climbing RV auction values, the totals declined in May.
Black Book Specialty Vehicles Principal Automotive Analyst Eric Lawrence said, “Some dealers may be shifting their focus to new units as the first wave of 2025 models begin to appear on their lots.”
The May motorhome average selling price decreased by 1.4%, or $820, compared with April. May’s average selling price was $58,411. One year ago, the average motorhome selling price was $73,393.
Motorhome auction volume was down by 7.9% compared with the previous month. The average model year sold was 2015.
The towable average selling price decreased by 1.1%, or $217, from April to May. The May average sales price was $19,389. One year ago, the towable average selling price was $21,632.
Towable auction volume was down 15.3% compared with the previous month. The average model year sold was 2018.
