In the first six months of 2024, Crane Co. subsidiary Crane Composites donated $200,000 to local charities. The supplier donated to 56 local non-profit charitable organizations.

The gifts support communities where Crane employees live. The supplier donated to organizations that associates chose in Bolingbrook, Illinois; Channahon, Illinois; Florence, Kentucky; Goshen, Indiana; and Jonesboro, Arkansas. Crane grants employees paid time off to volunteer at charities during work hours.

Crane Composites President John O’Sullivan said, “We are following the lead of our founder Richard T. Crane and focusing on improving the communities in which we live and work and making a positive impact as well.”

Richard Crane founded Crane Co. in 1855.

The supplier’s charitable entities enable underserved populations to receive direct assistance in communities where the company operates. These efforts also fund global relief agencies and school/scholarship funds in the U.S. and Canada. The entities include the Crane Foundation, The Crane Fund and The Crane Fund for Widows and Children.

In the past five years, the company donated $775,000 dispersed among 214 local charities.
