Word-of-mouth advertising continues to have influence over consumers. Go RVing’s recent trend report explored user-generated content’s popularity.
User-generated content includes case studies, community forums, customer reviews, social media posts, testimonials and podcasts.
According to a CrowdRiff report, 92% of consumers trust word of mouth and user-generated content more than other traditional brand advertising forms. Most consumers (85%) find user-generated content more influential compared with brand photos or product videos.
Go RVing said user-generated content is increasingly important to Google. The search engine company is prioritizing user-generated content, updating its algorithm to promote Reddit in search results.
The coalition said, “Sharing more user-generated content is a good opportunity for more RV brands to inspire interest among consumers and potentially even reach new audiences.”
Statista forecasted that by year’s end, influencer advertising worldwide will reach $35.09 billion.
Go RVing significantly invested in user-generated content this year through its influencer program. Recent influencers include Shaun White and Shawn Johnson.
