Since its founding in 1996, Forest River has known one leader, CEO Pete Liegl.
The RV Hall of Famer turned 80 years old earlier this year. Liegl said Wednesday he would look to the RV manufacturer’s future.
Liegl said, “I believe it is important to envision the future and plan for a smooth transition for the continued legacy of Forest River.”
Forest River announced three leadership changes Wednesday, including the promotion of Doug Gaeddert.
Gaeddert, who has led the company’s towable divisions for more than 25 years, will oversee the manufacturer’s entire Recreational Vehicles Division, including motorized and towable divisions.
In addition, Forest River Chief Financial Officer Darrel Ritchie will lead corporate management. David Wright will manage the company’s commercial division, including buses, cargo trailers, trucks and vans.
“I will remain fully engaged,” Liegl said, “and devote significant time to help the incoming leaders.”
