Bontrager Outdoors unveiled the company’s first editions to its Small Line, previously the Bushwhacker line, since the manufacturer changed its name from Braxton Creek in July.
The 7Rod and the 10Rok lightweight vehicles debuted at America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The vehicles will be on display at Elkhart Extravaganza this week along Executive Parkway leading up to the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
Bontrager Chief Operating Officer and owner Austin Bontrager said, “At Bontrager Outdoors, we firmly believe that no one should have to upgrade their vehicle to tow the RV or camper they want. Enter the Bontrager Outdoors 7Rod and 10Rok. These two new additions to our towable line were designed for that very purpose. They are incredibly lightweight and redefine what the future of tow vehicles can look like.”
The 7Rod weighs 500 pounds with a 660-pound carrying capacity. The vehicle is under 11 feet long. Bontrager General Manager Brian Sutton said the company wanted to target the motorcycle and electric vehicle tow vehicle markets with this model. A swivel hitch included on the vehicle provides towing articulation.
Composite wall and floor construction include embossed aluminum and Azdel panels. Metal cabinets were a lighter option compared with the MBS Interior material the company considered. The metal cabinets are water-resistant, enhancing longevity.
The trailer includes a Thetford Porta Potti and an 80-inch by 46-inch J Cube mattress. The mattress folds into a couch.
The manufacturer included 30-amp system prep, converter prep, battery prep and solar prep.
The 10Rok has a 1,440-pound carrying capacity. The vehicle weighs 1,700 pounds and measures 13 feet long. The RV sleeps two with an 80-inch by 46-inch sized bed. With doors placed near each bedside, individuals can enter the vehicle without disturbing one another. A Thetford Porta Potti and metal cabinets are included.
Sutton said, “The price point we are looking at is still enticing, but we are putting nice amenities in it that will keep you comfortable.”
The manufacturer included the Truma Combi furnace and water heater. The RV also includes 30-amp prep, battery prep and solar prep. A rear hatch door opens to create a mini awning over the rear kitchen. The kitchen includes a Blackstone griddle.
A 7-foot awning extends over the camp side and LED lighting illuminates the exterior.
Both models are covered by the company’s one-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Bontrager Outdoors redesigned all 2025 model décor. The manufacturer transitioned from darker tones to a lighter theme. Branding and decals were also altered.
