DealerPro, a dealer training platform, will host three sessions during the RVDA Convention/Expo Nov. 11-15 at Paris Las Vegas.
The workshops will commence during the convention’s Fixed Operations Day on Nov. 14.
At 8 a.m., DealerPro Director of Sales Ken Barnes will lead “Four Simple Changes for a Record Year in Fixed Operations.”
Barnes will provide an outline to increase service and parts gross profits through processes including compensation plans, training outlines, measuring results and making adjustments. Barnes will also give suggestions to reduce repair event cycle time (RECT).
Learning objectives include:
- How to create compensation plans to increase technician productivity.
- How to reduce RECT to achieve fixed operations gross profits.
- How to measure performance.
At 11:30 a.m., DealerPro CEO Don Reed and DealerPro Director of Marketing Peter Martin will host “Technician Recruitment: Best Practices for Hiring and Retaining Top Talent.”
The session will share best practices for identifying and attracting talent. Reed and Martin will discuss leveraging digital platforms, including social media advertising and search engine marketing.

- Actionable plans and strategies to improve technician retention rates and build a high-performing team.
- Insights into identifying, attracting and hiring top talent for dealerships’ fixed operations.
At 2 p.m., Barnes will host “10 Key Habits of Top Performers in Fixed Operations.” The workshop will cover processes to increase gross profits and give attendees a checklist to ensure success.
