As the fall season descends upon the RV industry, Black Book’s RV Market Commentary for October recorded slight dips in RV auction values.

The average selling price for motorized was $68,309, down $2,047, or 2.9%, compared with July values. One year ago, the average motorhome sold for $68,166. The average motorhome model year was 2014.

The average August towable selling price was $19,048, down by $263, or 1.3%, compared with July. One year ago, the average towable sold for $21,053. The average model year sold was 2019.

Black Book Specialty Vehicles Principal Automotive Analyst Eric Lawrence said, “The towable decrease is likely due to the beginnings of seasonal patterns. As more 2025 models continue to arrive on dealer lots, we expect used values to trend downward as we head further into fall.”

Lawrence recorded an unusually high percentage of Type As in the values for August.

Auction volume was mixed, with motorhome values decreasing by 12.5% and towables increasing by 0.1%.
