SylvanSport Recovers from Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene’s roaring waters left few in western North Carolina unaffected by the tumultuous storm that struck Sept. 26-27. SylvanSport, located in Brevard, North Carolina, was among those affected.

The adventure trailer and pop-up manufacturer reported that its employees are safe, and its building absorbed minimal damage. The company’s website is open and accepting orders. SylvanSport shipping will resume today, and other functions will return throughout the week. The manufacturer requested customer patience as it rebounds from the disaster.

The company said they are extending aid to North Carolina neighbors. As of Sunday, nearly all SylvanSport associates were without power, water, cellular communication or internet.

SylvanSport said, “As power, communication and infrastructure are restored, one thing is sure, the nation will witness the power of the people of western North Carolina and surrounding areas as we begin the rebuilding process.”

SylvanSport said the company is grateful for first responders, utility and communication workers, relief agencies, volunteers and everyone who has begun the work to rescue, stabilize and rebuild.

The company encouraged its neighbors to support western North Carolina businesses as the region recovers.
